b) Digital - Each named entrant must have their own individual laptop computer.
2. Humans and Pokerbots - both can play
The 2007PBWC allows two types of named players:
a) Humans - a human player playing as ("self")
b) Bots - a computer player playing as ("bot")
All tournament events are open to both types of named players.
3. Named Players - official registration required
All tournament participants must register an offical player name with pokerbot.com:
http://www.pokerbot.com/pbwc/email_order.html
All names should be registered on or before the 2007PBWC opening orientation
the first night. Names must be registered before the tournaments wherein
they will be entered.
4. Declared Mode - human or pokerbot
During the 2007PBWC opening orientation each owner will be required
to state the intended playing mode - human or bot - for each
registered name that they intend to use for any event.
The mode may not be changed thereafter.
5. Single Entry - there can be only one
Each official player name may be registered once and only once
for any given 2007PBWC tournament event. Registration
for any given tournament event entitles the named entrant
to play a single chair for the duration of that tournament.
6. Human mode - one chair allowed
Humans playing as self may play one and only one chair for any given event.
Humans may not move from chair to chair playing multiple hands for any reason.
7. Bot mode - multiple chairs allowed
An owner may enter as many bots as desired into any given tournament
provided that all of the following requirements are met for each bot:
a) must have a unique individual registered name
b) must have a separate latptop
c) must pay the tournament fees
8. Cardsharing - prevented
The act of one or more chairs privately sharing hole card information will be prevented.
9. Collaboration - prevented
One intended purpose of the 2007PBWC to guarantee that each chair (whether human or bot)
plays with no outside private assistance of any kind.
a) Humans - The act of any human player (playing as self) receiving private playing advice
from any source other than his own gray matter mind will be prevented. Human entrants
will not use software assistance of any kind whatsoever other than the poker client
software needed to execute the mechanics of the poker game.
b) Bots - The act of a bot player (playing as bot) receiving playing advice from
any source other than it's immediate local laptop hardware/software mind will be prevented.
Human owners will not intervene or override the playing decisions of the bot player.
10. Kinship - not prevented
The kindred real world relationship between any two chairs will not be policed
in any way for any reason whatsoever other than the physical prevention of
private cardsharing and private collaboration. The event operator will not attempt to
impose any restrictions on the actual game play other than what can be physically
defended by the live digital poker professional server. As a principled reference
point, a bot entrant playing in the same tournament as the human owner will be viewed
the same as a real world family member or friend in the same context as that of any
two kindred humans entered into the same poker tournament.
11. Poker Professional (PPRO) - live digital poker mechanics
The PPRO live digital server is designed to execute and defend the standard rules of the
game of Texas Holdem with the following minor modifications:
a) Button Always Moves (BAM) - The dealer button is guaranteed to change chairs
between successive hands such that it is physically impossible for any given chair
to have the button for 2 or more consecutive hands. The chair that receives the button
for the next hand is guaranteed to be the first seated/active chair to the left of the
chair that currently has the button after all busted chairs (if any) have been removed
from the game. The next dealer button chair is always selected before the blind
chairs are determined.
b) Blinds Always Follow (BAF) - The small blind and big blind always follow the button
and are determined after the button chair has been selected for the current hand according
to the BAM rule above.
The small blind is always the first seated/active chair to the left of the button.
The big blind is always the first seated/active chair to the left of the small blind chair.
note: - in accordance with the BAM/BAF rules above:
- it is possible for any non-button chair to get the button on the next hand by busting all lower
deal position chairs to the right.
- it is possible for any chair to skip the big blind on the next hand by busting all but one lower deal position
chairs to the right.
- it is possible for a chair to be the big blind in 2 consecutive hands where there is
a transition to headsup
- when the game involves only 2 chairs headsup,
the button chair will always be the big blind and the non-button
chair will always be the small blind.
c) Raises Always Re-open (RAR) - Any raise - even where the chair is allin - even for smallest
possible amount (1 cent) - will always re-open the raising for all chairs including
the chair that previously raised (if any).
d) Blinds Always Called (BAC) - The largest posted blind always determines the
required calling amount for the first betting circuit (until there is a raise) regardless of
the amount of the largest blind - even if the largest blind is only 1 cent.
e) Limit Always Four (LAF) - For fixed limit events the betting will always be capped
at 4 bets total regardless of the number of players remaining even if the play is headsup.
The title event starting stacks will be 100 big blinds.
The final table starting stacks will be 1000 big blinds.
There will be exactly 10 hands played per blind level.

The duration of breaks will be 5-10 minutes according to the discretion of the tournament operator.
Title events are composed of 1 or more tables according to the total number of entrants for the event.
a) Entry Fees - Each named player must pay the required entry fee.
The combined entry fees for all players will compose the payout prize pool for that event.
b) Event Fees - Each named player must pay the required event fee.
The event fees are retained by the tournament operator.
c) Seating - Seating will be randomly determined by physical means
both at the start and when tables are eliminated
d) Button Start - The button will always begin at chair 0.
e) Level for Level
For title events requiring 2 or more tables,
each table will go level for level until the total number of
remaining players is reduced such that one table can be removed
from play at which point play will pause for random reseating of
the remaining players. This table elimination process will continue
until only a single table is needed.
e) Winning - The cash payout prizes will be based on a whole number of entry
fees paid to the winner based where they finished in the standings and on the total
number of entrants for that title event

c) Seating Order - The final table seating order will be based on the weight of the title events.
The $1 title winner will seat first;
the $10 title winner will seat second and to the left (clockwise);

and so on until all title event winners are seated.
